Eide Integrated Systems (EIS) unveiled the WizardPDS® Truss Projection feature at the ’07 BCMC show in Columbus and the feed back from the field has been absolutely astounding, says EIS President Mitch Eide. “We’ve eliminated the set-up time and ALL manual jigging at the table with the revolutionary WizardPDS® and our retrofitable WizardPDS® drop-in ChannelsTM systems. Now, we have brought another timesaving solution to truss assembly with the optional Truss Projection feature of the WizardPDS® Gold Software. This innovative feature brings a paperless solution to your assembly team by projecting all information required to build the truss onto a flat panel, large screen or any sort of viewing surface at the assembly table. The assemblers never need to move from their work areas to see the assembly information necessary to build the truss. All information from your shop drawing can now be projected onto a 8’ X 12’ viewing surface centralized at the jig table for ease of viewing from anywhere at the assembly station. Job ID, chord and web member labeling, connector sizing and placement information as well as any special notations or assembly instructions may be displayed. Whatever you send to the table in the form of a “printed” shop drawing is what will be projected on the screen at the assembly table. Truss specification awareness for the assemblers is the key. By eliminating the need to walk back and forth to see or huddle around the paperwork for assembly instruction, trusses will be produced faster and with less chance for errors.
